Well, the USA is already a hellhole of crime, violence in particular. Combine this with immigration from less violent cultures, and you can hardly avoid an improvement.
You can't import refugees from war-torn Afghanistan, Iraq or Kosovo to a worker's paradise like Norway (or even Canada) and expect the same result.
It isn't the immigration that matters, it is the people who migrate. "Honest people reduce crime rates" would never give you a research grant though.
