I'm not well read in the subject myself but I know one argument in the context of free-speech that is being made is that religious groups who disagree with the practice are worried that they would be subject to litigation if they refuse to perform a gay marriage since the practice has been honored.
Also, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints runs an institution called LDS Social Services which includes an adoption service. There is concern that should they refuse to allow a gay couple to adopt a child (which they most definitely would), that they would be subject to litigation and potentially forced to allow it, etc. If that ever occurred, I'm pretty sure that LDS social services would discontinue it's adoption service in the state of California at least.
As for the parental rights bit, I'm not sure what that's about.
While I am in no way attacking you, nor saying you support the argument, I have to say the first point is complete bullshit. Nobody suggests churches be forced to perform marriage ceremonies. A Catholic church cannot be forced to marry non-Catholics, for example, and nor should it be.
The spectre of government-forced marriage ceremonies in conflict with religious beliefs exists solely to create a bogeyman for the religious right to rally credulous followers.
Parental rights: You have the right to hide your children from the knowledge that gays exist, because if they never learn about gays, they won't ever have to cry at night praying the gay away like daddy does.
You'd think they'd give up when the world didn't end after gays were allowed to marry, but I suppose that would mean they'd have to apply logic and reason to their beliefs.
Strangely, they all look like nice, cheerful, friendly folks. Man I want to punch that guy with the brush cut in the centre of the pic right in the throat.
