That's very sad. I would say that I hope this is just the den portion of a much larger exhibit...but I'm not going to be too optimistic.

I don't think this is entirely authentic. The wall that the slide is poking through is a painting, for instance.

I figured that was supposed to be an easy way for keepers to drop food in, I hadn't even thought that it was supposed to be fake. This is because I have seen similarly miserable enclosures for creatures in crappy zoos :/
