Oh, sure, the problem of irrational, violent idiots who are only a serious issue *because they have guns* is ABSOLUTELY going to be solved by giving ALL the irrational, violent idiots loaded guns to carry on their person, easily accessible, at all times.
Most people can't be trusted with a *car* without being dangerous to everyone around them.
The stores bear a lot of responsibility for offering "doorbuster" deals that force shoppers into a competitive mindset. And then you're in line for an hour or more if you aren't the first person to pick up the goods because there isn't enough staff to handle the lines. Of course, 99.99% of the population can handle these stresses 99% of the time, but it seems reckless to stick ten million Americans in a pressure cooker and then be surprised that ten of them do something unfortunate. If "don't create a business demand that you cannot safely satisfy" isn't common business sense, then it seems past time that it be legislated.
