Judge rules that Fox is right, DC didn't own the movie rights in the first place therefore they can't have sold Watchmen to Warner Brothers.

Note, for the record, that Fox made *no* move to even hint that they might have had a contract with DC until well after WB poured hundreds of millions of dollars into the film. Gee, Fox operating in bad faith? Shocked, shocked I am!

OK, I have seen some low business practices in my life, but that has to rate as one of the lowest. If they try to block the release, and if WB acted in good faith in producing the movie and they can prove they acted in good faith, there is a chance that they can take Fox to the cleaners over that looks-like-intentional time delay, but sadly I am not certain WB acted in good faith either...
