He's got at least one inconsistency: He uses the Oxford Comma which is a terrible abomination in one case, and then he correctly does NOT use the Oxford comma in the other.

... isn't that a sentence without an Oxford Comma? Which is called that because Oxford's the only British university to say to use it in their style manual?

I have my terminology backwards. The Oxford Comma is the One True Way and not using it is the abomination.

(For some reason, I was certain that the Oxford Comma was *not* correctly delimiting each entry in a list with a comma. Since list entry delimitation is obviously correct and good and only bad people of poor morals avoid doing it, I have unjustly maligned the Only Correct Method.)
