Who the hell is going to notice? The area they're talking about is always crawling with police and military personnel anyway. (That's the "court and cops" district.)

Now they'll be firing M-16s.

You have crack dealers regularly firing M-16s in the "court and cops district"?

Sheesh, and I thought Dayton was rough.

(My fingers wanted to type that as "deadlers". I think that's a pretty nice typo.)

The court and cops district is very large and not a nice neighborhood. It's not bad in the immediate vicinity of the police station and the courthouses (plural, we have a couple Fed. courts here in addition to the muni courts because we're the county seat), but beyond that...I won't go there in the middle of the day, much less at night.

And yeah, the typo is apt.

ObSnide: Sending in the marines might be a half-decent solution, then.

I'm always amazed at how crappy American inner cities have been allowed to get.
Canada is much better, in every way.

But, hey, cheap education, free basic health care, a living minimum wage, a better quality of living for rich *and* poor, and all the good things that come from that = EEEEVIL.
