Long before the election, I said he'd never get elected, because he's black and in the USA a black man cannot be President.
Long before the election, I said that even if I was wrong about the election, he'd never survive to take office, because he's black and in the USA a black man cannot be President.

I can think of times I've been happier to be wrong, but it's a small number.

Four years from now, or possibly eight, I hope to be wrong again.

And, barring further news that Cheney was hiding an IED in that wheelchair, this is my only contribution to the flood of WHOOOOOOS current devouring most of everyone's friends pages.

It takes a lot of honesty and humility to come forth when one is wrong. Kudos to you for being able to do so! Not enough people are willing to do the same.

I have had way too much of the stupid today. But it's been 99% work-related.

I had a conversation with my father who also thought he wouldn't get elected because America wasn't ready for a black president.

Then again, his opposition seemed to be trying to win the election for him.

I'm also hoping to be wrong about him surviving to the end of his term, because that's definitely my view too. I think he is going to have a very high number of assassination attempts.

Time to wait, see, and hope.
