theweaselkingSo a bunch of cops just showed up at my door asking for my guns. I asked why, they said it was a new government regulation, as per Obama's first executive order, and they were going to lock them up.
I pointed out that they were in Canada at the moment.
They looked around, double-checked their GPS, one guy towards the back punched another in the arm and said "See? I TOLD you that state borders don't have customs and duty-free shops!".
They apologised and left.
Sheesh.

I am a gun nut who is also heavily pro-Obama. I found the reactions of the gun owner communities to be completely asinine. Frankly, I don't follow the logic behind all the gun sales that have spiked sharply:
- Either Obama DOES NOT HAVE the ability to take your guns away, in which case, uh, why are you buying more, again?
or
- He DOES have the ability to take your guns away, in which case WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU BUYING MORE?
They always point and screech about the Assault Weapons Ban and talk about how OBAMA GONNA TAKE OURE GUNS LOL OMGTF and it's all bullshit. I live in Texas. I thirst and hunger for the day a politician tries to take the guns out of Texas. Our Liberals have guns. Our Buddhists have guns. Our Priests have guns. Our atheists have guns. Our fucking dogs damned near have guns.
And in the end, they do not have the manpower or firepower to disarm Texas, unless they deploy the entire U.S. Military - and at that point, I'm pretty sure Texas would make a play for real secession. Not necessarily over the guns alone, but over the stomping of our state rights.
I own many guns. I do not fear Obama will come send jackbooted thugs in to get them.
