North Dakota declares Helacyton gartleri to be human and possess human rights, declares use of disinfectants in cancer research labs to be murder.

Oh and they've also said that women should get back in the kitchen and make babies, preferably man-child, but who notices little things like that?

Well, one good thing came out of this, I learned about Helacyton gartleri.

(In my rare ArghRationalityRage moments, I have started to think that banning people to use scientific language they do not understand has to come before banning anyone that bleats about how science is evil from, say, wearing eyeglasses.)

Idle thought: Fertilised eggs don't necessarily successfully implant in to the womb, and often just pass out unnoticed by the mother. It's one of the major reasons conceptions fail. So, if we say fertilised eggs have human rights, doesn't that make natural reproduction dangerously irresponsible? Shouldn't we be using artificial means to give each egg the best chance possible?

I know they don't mean it to apply when a pregnancy ends naturally, but it amuses me that they sound like that they're actually trying to ban sex.

"pro-life" has nothing to do with loving children.

It has everything to do with hating women.

A simple examination of the consistency of their actions and goals with those two premises makes that clear.

Would it be illegal to ovulate, or to ejaculate more than 1 sperm at a time under this legislation?
