EC is warning that the temperature will drop 15 degrees within the next hour. Those two days of unseasonable, barely tolerable temperatures and rain? Are going to freeze solid.
More seriously: Hmm. Beer. Strong, usually pale beer. Moosehead, in particular - not that it's really iconic, as much as an amusingly named brand that I know you can get in Illinois. Molson Canadian or Labatt Blue if you like cheap and not very good (the former) or downright terrible Budweiser-ish (the latter) beer.
Maybe Canadian Club and Canada Dry ginger-ale, though I wouldn't swear by it as a mix and (aside from the names) it's not terribly reflective of the Great White North.
-- Steve could, of course, also suggest the stereotypical Molson Canadian but he's much a big fan of that brand of beer. (Though it is actually common.) Moosehead's better, though.
Just wish I had realized it BEFORE I left the house an hour and a half ago, only to be shocked by stepping outside. Looks like a good weekend to stay home!

Having a hard time thinking of anything terribly "Typical" in terms of beverages. The whole north American homogenization makes things hard that way.
