For some reason, some of my gerbils love doing that...

Dude! That's a hamster. Teddy bear hamster, if I'm not mistaken. The kind that Tingley's ball python would eat back in university.

I'm suddenly nostalgic for CBC's Video Hits. And the Shuffle Demons.

Those cats rap fast, I can't grasp that. All them big words, I dun find I misheard. I didn't understand the significance of the hamster prize either.

It was a picky python. Only live brown short haired hamsters would do. Latter I found out that ball pythons are nervous critters that can go a year without eating.

If you go out into the woods today
you'd better go in disguise...

I've never heard of a snake being picky before. Mine was teeny and ate pinky mice, he looooved them, once mistook someone's finger for one. Otherwise was very happy with whatever I gave him, which was usually frozen pinkies because the idea of them being alive was just too much for me.

Learn new things every day!

He tried other rodents and long-haired hamsters without success. At work we would start hatchlings with live pinky mice until we were satisfied that they had figured out mice = food, then we would wean them onto dead mice. Less stress for the mice and safer for the snakes.
