News: Two men walk through Pearson International security like it isn't there.
Really funny news: Those two people are Minister Of Transportation John Baird and Chair of the National Security Committee Senator Colin Kenny.

For the tour of Pearson the senator wore an orange traffic vest and made a show of carrying around a clipboard, and an array of ID cards and hotel room keys, none of which were related to airport security.

Yep, a clipboard will getcha in anywhere.

It seems they're focusing on the fact that shaking down passengers is hardly the solution.

The part of this that bugs me is the following:
"Soon, a federal inquiry will report on how terrorists exploited Vancouver's vulnerabilities in June, 1985, to plant suitcase bombs that killed 329 Air India passengers and crew."

How can an inquiry about something that happened almost 24 years ago be of any use whatsoever?

It's a well-known fact in some circles that that particular study was used as a blind for funds being used to run a military program aimed at the capture and taming of moose for use against our southern neighbours.

Unfortunately, people have started asking for results, and since 20 years of research has produced nothing but dead researchers and destroyed labs, they're scrapping the project and making some crap up for the report.
