BBs don't have all that much energy, though. There's a reason "you'll shoot your eye out" is a classic -- you're not going to be able to do much more than that.
But it's entirely possible he lost the eye *if the animated gif is actually genuine*.
Men + alcohol produces no shortage of stupid behaviour. Not saying that's the ONLY cause of stupid, but some of the stupidest shit I've ever seen involved that combination. Alcohol makes all sorts of things suddenly seem like good ideas, when you'd know better sober.
I can't tell if that's a beer can or a different beverage on his head. I do know that if it was a paintball gun they could actually destroy the eyeball (it's far more delicate than people think). If a paintball can smoosh an eyeball at point blank, a BB definitely could.
I'm hoping for the sake of the involved that's a fake, but I could believe it to be true.
See my comment above regarding men + alcohol. :) Men come up with interesting ideas sober but alcohol seems to make them think it's a good idea to try, too. LOL
