Me: "So, who's making dinner tonight?"

[livejournal.com profile] torrain: [stares wide-eyed like a deer in the headlights. Blinks mournfully.]

Me: [Returns stare, yielding nothing]

[livejournal.com profile] torrain: "...I gave you candy!"

Me: "I TOOK your candy! It was mine by right of conquest!"

She has, for the record, made peanut butter and ham sandwiches. I have no idea which of us actually won this one.

Similar slice of life:
Me: Would you make me a sammich?
Jon: What kind?
Me: I dunno. Something with cheese.
Jon:....Peanut butter and cheese. Got it.
Me: NO! *laughs and thinks he's joking*
Jon: *Comes back with a sweet smile and peanut butter and cheese on wheat*

That depends entirely on whether or not you ate said sandwich. If you did, she won.

Though if he didn't, then she also won for having not actually made dinner.

Good point. There's not a sane person around who would call that sandwich 'dinner'.

Bacon and peanut butter, for the record, is delicious.

This was merely colder, softer, less salty bacon.

Peanut butter is GOOD with cheese though. Ham + Peanut Butter? Thats just an abomination. Probably. Well maybe. I mean Bacon + Peanut Butter is pretty good. And Ham and Bacon are both pig-derived. Still...

Did he accept this as dinner? If so, you definitely won, because it's now his turn, and you produced a ten-second job.

Unless of course you baked the bread yourself, which can create some interesting results...

Well, kind of. See, he decided to go make us pierogies, and then there weren't enough, so I told him to go ahead and take what he wanted while I made a peanut butter sandwich, and he insisted on leaving me two pierogies, and he was taking out the lunchmeat to snag a slice of ham while I was making the sandwich, and he joked about PB&H, and I said sure. :D

So I had pierogies and PB&H sandwich and a fortune cookie, and he had pierogies and ham and a fortune cookie. I think we may be tied.

I insisted you take *some of* MY perogies, because otherwise you'd have nothing to eat for dinner except PB+Ham sandwiches.

Yay! I thought I was the only one who liked peanutbutter-and-cheese sandwiches! Cheddar, especially. Mmm...

PB&Ham sounds yummy. I mean, I eat and love cashew chicken, why not peanut ham?
