The Best Show On TV While 30 Rock Is Between Seasons, S02E01.

EDIT: S2 doesn't appear to be as good as S1, so far. But I'm only 50% through the first episode.

While I still found the first episode of season 2 entertaining on the whole, I was really surprised by the lower quality writing when compared to season 1. A lot of it just seemed kind of lazy and contrived.

I'll still watch it, because I'm a sucker for shows like this, but I'm concerned.

Yeah, I found the writing to mostly be... bad. If I'd started with that as my first episode, I might not have watched a second.
