PPS: She's a devout Catholic, make her demonstrably and indisputably insane, but at least she's an ironphoenix style Catholic and not a Pope Hitler style Catholic. You takes what you can get when you're dealing with the nominees of an extreme-right government that need to be confirmed by a super-extreme-whackjob-psycho-right Senate.

I'm confused. Are you saying Sotomayor is an example of "nominees of an extreme-right government that need to be confirmed by a super-extreme-whackjob-psycho-right Senate."? I believe that position would put you slightly to the left of Pol Pot, so I must be misreading this.

The US Democratic Party is an extreme-right party.

For comparison, they are *marginally* to the left on *some, not all* issues when compared to the Conservative Party Of Canada. The CPC, for example, have a much-further-left position on health care.
