The Catholic church is a force for evil in this world. There is no mitigation, there is no excuse. As the DC gay marriage vote has shown us, any seemingly-innocuous charity work is simply political leverage to further an agenda of bigotry and hate.

This along with the other revelation about "mental reservation" really makes me think that all the catholic priests in Ireland should be rounded up and driven out like the 'snakes' they are.
There aren't really words to express how sad and angry this makes me, and the fact that it doesn't surprise me that much is even worse. The Irish do Catholicism in a uniquely political way, and this kind of collusion fits far too easily.
