Is it relevant in any way? Does it mean any concept that is drawn is funny? Is there a substantive difference in representing a concept by drawing rather than by a photo or perhaps a verbal description with regard to its humor?
Well, I'm not sure that it means that the concept is funny in this instance, but there IS a giant difference. How you represent something can often decide whether it's funny or just really upsetting. Also, there's the fact that it looks like it should be funny, even if it's not because of the way it's drawn. Which, to be fair, is in and or itself a little amusing.
Classic cartoon example. A cartoon character steps on a rake and hits themselves in the face. That's funny. If it happened to you, you wouldn't b laughing. And while that's a funny story if you tell it, I'd hope that anyone who was actually present when it happened would be concerned for your safety.
