Don't be silly. It's got cute little CLAWS like a kitten and big cute EYES like a kitten and adorable cuddly SCALES like a kitten - it's obviously a kitten.
I checked this on my home machine while remoted in. The connection obviously has both slight lag and reduced graphical output. As the slow scroll went down, the egg looked like a mushroom cloud thus making me believe it was an atomic explosion with a giant reptile in front of it.
Personally, I think this would have made it even better.
