Oh, I know that it's possible. It just looks like a bad angle for it. though I suppose it depends on the speed that he cat's moving at. The picture looks like it'll stop just short and get wet.
I have met many an arboreal kitty. But the arc/angle on that looks like s/he is going to miss by about 1/2 a foot.
OTOH, it also depends on the angle the picture was taken. I could be totally misjudging that kitty's powers of Ti Kwan Leep because the picture is taken from a slightly down perspective.
