Like most Republicans, the Senator seems to think that gay = having butseks. If you're not having butseks, you're not gay. If you're having butseks, you are gay. Soldiers shouldn't have butseks, so they can't be gay.
I admit, I had my suspicions about my boyfriend--do straight men really dance like that?--but I never suspected that my fondness for schnapps and my extensive body art would also render ME a lesbian!
Was going to ask that, because I reckon British squaddies would riot if they were told they weren't allowed any.... They always seem to be drunk when I run into 'em, too. :/

Drinking is only prohibited on the job. That, and a hangover bad enough to keep you from working is considered "damaging government property" and is punishable.
Same for tattoos: if they don't show and don't get you hepatitis or something, they're fine.
Sunburns are technically prohibited, too, in the same way. Not so much prohibited, really, but a sort of "if you can't take care of yourself and get messed up enough to affect work, we have no sympathy."
If I remember correctly, visible hickeys are punishable because they can also be also considered damaging government property. People I know had hard asses for rank.
