Looks great. Some of them like Clegane and Greyjoy look just like I pictured them in my head.

I should probably get around to reading this, then.

Oh, come on, King Robert should really be played by BRIAN BLESSED. And I had Christopher Lee as Eddard Stark in my head. Theon Greyjoy is spot on, though.

Theon looks too skinny to me... I pictured him as being a little more grizzled

I will freely admit that I <3 Sean Bean and think he'll make a great Eddard Stark. Shame I don't have cable and will have to hunt this down.

I like your title bar for this post:

If only there was a chance that the next book would be out by the time the series catches up to it.

For all of the fact that I found the early books to be great and the later books to be less of a drop-off in quality than is typical of other series, there has been a i've-forgotten-how-many-years wait for a book that the author had stated was finished and ready to publish six months after the last one hit the streets.

I'm not one of the wackos who thinks he owes me anything whatsoever, but lying to paying customers is dumb business.

I believe it's been a 5 year wait for Book 4, and between books 3 and 4 there was a 4 year wait. I really wouldn't have cared if not for his initial note when Feast For Crows came out that the book that had been planned was just too big, so they were splitting the printing and the second half would be out in November of that year.

Apparently it's a REALLY long year :)

I don't see Tony Stark. It's not going to be much of an Iron Man movie without him.

Zzzzz. The first book was overwrought with soap opera bollocks that went on forever. Other than the bastard and the dwarf, everyone else was so uninteresting that they deserved to die (and while it seems that GRRM makes that happen in the rest of the series, it's hardly worth my time to find out).

I generally approve of anything that will give work to Peter Dinklage, not to mention Mark Addy, so I will probably see this purely because of that.
