As unpleasant as the BNP are, I agree with this decision. If any such teacher brings any sign of the BNP's views into the classroom then they should be thrown out on their ear, but as the BNP are not on the list of illegal organisations in the UK, it seems only reasonable.
Ugh This whole treating the BNP as a political party rather than a hate group makes my head ache. It's because they got seats as MEPs, it becomes harder to treat them as frine when disgusting fools vote for them
I actually agree with the decision. If the group is a legal group, it should not ban you from work. Now, if they get cought teaching hate based things to the kids? That is a different matter entirely. I am totally not in favor of what is effectively thought police.
You have a right to your own beliefs, even if those beliefs are repugnant to me. You just don't have a right to Act on those beliefs in a manner that endangers another persons rights. Someone wants to wear swastika pajamas? Go ahead. Paint a swastika on their car? Ok. Means I know when I see them they are someone I don't want to associate with. Paint a swastika on a black persons car? That is vandelism, and gets jail time for a hate crime.
