South Dakota cops sued after they deliberately out lesbian sergeant to US Air Force.

For the record, I debated before using "US Air Force" instead of "White Supremacist Group". Just so you know.

They didn't ask. She didn't tell. She played that evil, soul-destroying game - and it still bit her in the arse

I am not entirely sure where the "white supremacist group" comment fits at all. The Air Force does not by default push any kind of racism, though there are the occasional racist *people* that can crop up (as they can in *any* organization). My husband had never even encountered racism until he left the Air Force bases he grew up in. It was something entirely unheard of to him. There are people in the Air Force that happen to be racist, but that by no means indicates that it is any form of racist organization. I personally have no love for any of the military here. However, implying that the Air Force is a white supremacist group is nothing more than a fabrication caused by the occasional story that pops up, or the things that happened in the past during a period when *all* organizations treated any non-white person as a second-class citizen.

The Air Force has a longstanding reputation as being institutionally (and often violently) fundamentalist Christian. Which is to say, crazy bigots with little contact with reality.

The "white supremacist" bit here is not because they're any more bigoted against blacks than they are against other minorities, but specifically because they picked a Nazi party slogan as their new motto a couple of years ago. It was possibly just an oversight and it was definitely intended to be a pun, but I have a very low tolerance for "oh, yeah, we didn't REALLY mean that, we totally weren't dogwhistling, no, not at all", especially when it happens as often as it does for the USAF.
