Putting a lot of money into something that blows up/fragments/is otherwise single-use only makes sense if it can take out something of the enemy's that's worth as much or more. Guided .50-cal rounds for snipers? I can see that. Guided...whatever an M-16 takes? (One of the NATO calibers; I don't remember.) Much less likely.
