You flip a switch and the panels open and stuff comes out.

At no time did any of the gadgets *actually* have live bullets in 'em.

That's one thing that bugged me in Casino Royale. How could Bond know the car was a '64 just from looking at the rear end of it? They were identical from about '62 to '65...
