There's just great stuff on the LIFE photo archive. I'm writing an Embryo Project article about this one now:
Rabbit with guinea pig embryo growing in eye -- Dr. Greene at the Yale Pathology lab in the 40s, doing embryo experiments in conjunction with cancer experiments.

The paper on it is really something. :-) The Heterologous Transplantation of Embryonic Mammalian Tissues.
