It looks smaller than the typical 1" that's used for "Microdrives" (the kind that do fit in my camera. I'm just currious cause i hadn't heard about that one yet. Either that or i did read about it and ignored it assuming it was just another 1"er.
I dunno, real dominoes are fairly big. If anything I'd say it looks bigger than a microdrive (if it's microdrive format, then the long side would be equivalent to the long side of a compactflash card, so 43mm, while dominoes are typically 5-6 cm in my experience).
After looking it up though: "Mickey: 20% smaller than a 1"-harddrive, expected to make its debut in the second half of 2005 at a mere 14 grams and in an embedded-only design. Capacities between 8GB and 10GB."
Toshiba actually already had miniature drives at 0.8" platters instead of IBM/Hitachi's 1", but they're still pretty much limited to compactflash format to actually be useful.
Well, i didn't think Dominoes were a full 1" wide though. Either way, i guess it all depends on if someone has a use for it. at least in the Digital Camera area, i dont' see this as being that much more advantageous than 1" drives.
It's probably 1" by something less than 1". I read about the new drive somewhere (wish I had the link), and my recollection is that they shrunk the size by 20% or so.

That's all there really is to say about it. I'm sure you can get one in your camera in about a year.
