Yikes. That's about the same size as the ones they found in Papua New Guinea.

The only cure for giant forced-perspective rats is to import giant forced-perspective snakes (http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/15ftrattler.asp) to eat them. And then giant hogs to eat the snakes (http://www.stinkyjournalism.org/latest-journalism-news-updates-129.php).

If the hogs get out of hand, this guy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Europe_2007_Disk_1_340.jpg) should be able to sort them out.

My first thought was Gambian Pouched Rat: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambian_pouched_rat

Which I totally wanted as a pet, but were made illegal to keep and have become invasives in some places.
