When one mother asked what category her "mixed" kids would be filed under, she was told "Go by the mother's race b/c with minorities the father isn't generally in the home."

I can actually see the school board not reviewing a policy for 30 years. I suspect they're really claiming this to try and save face, but if I'm generous, I can see it.

However, a response of 'Go with the mother's race, because with minorities the father isn't generally in the home'? That's someone who needs to be fired. Posthaste.

Ah, good, it's not just computer bugs where someone reports a problem, people look into it, say "holy shit, that's fucked up, and apparently has been fucked up for years; why hadn't anyone (successfully) complained about it before?"
