As the son of a public school teacher turned school principle, that makes me choke up a bit. Teachers everywhere need this kind of help. Mom's buying pencils and paper for her school out of her own pocket to keep things running.
Glad someone with the resources stepped up to the plate and knocked one out of the park.
It's pretty sad that a piddly $1.3 million can cover a state as big as California, but that the $1.3 million couldn't be covered until someone steps in.
1.3m only covers the wishlists for extra things. CA and many other parts of the country are still in dire need funding for education wise and millions are kinda drop in the bucket for that unfortunately.
