A person is soliciting suggestions for a character to portray in a burlesque show with a Superhero/villain theme. Catch is, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Wonder Woman, and Zatanna are already all taken.

So, what characters come to mind as appropriate?

(Bonus Difficulty: DC characters are boring and the obvious ones are already taken. So no DC characters. Also, despite the female characters getting first claim, the performers asking the question are not all female. GO.)

(I have already suggested a duet of Channon and Yelena. The original source wants an Oracle/Professor X duet, which escapes the DC restrictions by being a crossover.)

([livejournal.com profile] torrain wants Silk Spectre.)

EDIT: And, it has been pointed out: What song would your selection dance to?

I myself think Mesh's "My Hands Are Tied" would be perfect for Oracle/Professor X.

Torrain suggested Silk Spectre. She still likes the idea of Zatanna. (Actually, she *really* likes the idea of Abigail Arcane, but she is sadly way too obscure.)

...Death? Sandman-style?

Is this strictly comics? If not I'd suggest Buffy or Faith.

(Although, technically I guess Buffy was made into a comic...

Also, a drag performer as Granny Goodness would ROCK.

EDIT: I don't CARE if she's DC. It'd still rock.

EDIT THE 2ND: Also, technically "Watchmen" is DC.

I would suggest something involving Nextwave, but I don't think it would be recognizable enough for the show.

As boring as I agree that DC characters can be, how about Fire and Ice (of Justice League)? For Marvel side, maybe there's some lighting tricks that you could do for Sue Storm.

As for the guys... fuck it, do the whole cast of Nextwave.

Jesse, Saint of Killers, or Starr from Preacher.

As sexy as She-Hulk is, I veto any costume requiring different coloured skin, it always looks cheesy.

Pepper Potts to "Iron Man" of course. Can you imagine a straitlaced girl!friday red-head stripping down to the bass of that song? Brilliant. Might be a little generic character-design wise I suppose...
