Le raccoon is holding his nose so it can drop month-old Baylisascaris procyonis eggs into his mouth. Such a lovely parasite. The larva tend to rush to the head of mammals (and birds) that aren't raccoons, causing blindness, brain damage and death, and in the process making a tasty meal for more raccoons. It's the circle of life!
