Today only: Borderlands and all DLC, $7.50
Easily one of the best games in years, it's like Diablo and Left 4 Dead has noisy, raucous, messy sex, and gave birth to a monstrous and hilarious child.
(I mean, just check out the trailer. Or maybe the opening credits. And, really, the opening cinematic for The Zombie Island Of Doctor Ned has to be seen to be believed.)
If you completely now and forever hate all shooting games and all computer RPGs, don't buy this game. If you have ever even thought you might like one or the other, Borderlands is worth your eight bucks to check out.

Date: 2011-04-13 11:32 pm (UTC)Then I tried L4D, and it was awesome.
Later, when I heard about Borderlands, I was willing to try it because of L4D. And Borderlands was even more awesome, to me, than L4D was.
I can no longer say that I hate all shooting games now and forever. I LOVE shooting games. They just have to be the right ones.

Date: 2011-04-14 02:26 pm (UTC)loads of games over there, inc. Assassins Creed II and Bioshock. Just not on sale.
which makes it all the more painful that I *still* don't have broadband
I used to run Steam via Crossover, but deleted that when they launched the native Mac client. Cannot get it to work, at all, which is a bit of a shame since I have loads of Steam licenses. Just can't play the games [inc. Orange Box and Torchlight]
