Gastropods should not be big enough to play glacial fetch with. What Charlie Sheen carries instead of a Chihuahua?

I don't find them gross at all--I like gastropods--but the thought of them running...er, crawling...amok in any of our states with tropical climates would indeed be disturbing.

It might be, judging by the low image quality and the pattern of artifacts, but since snails that big totally do exist, whether that particular one is photoshopped doesn't really matter. It might as well not be. ;)

You seem to be featuring at least one awesome snail/slug pic a week now. I approve.

As a general note, because this will amuse you, the UK version of the teabbaggers has held a rally today, and there's now complaints from them about the BBC underreporting attendance, because the beeb is reporting 350 (three hundred & fifty) people attended as opposed to the almost 600 (six hundred) people who totally did attend (http://twitpic.com/4xgbg1).

An EU Flag was burned and Epic Fail Guy got his photo taken a lot: http://jwarren.co.uk/photos/protest/rally-against-debt/

"The UK version of the teabaggers." I like that. I may use it in future debate. Thank you.

Am I weird for thinking he/she (snails are hermaphroditic) is actually really cute?

Yeah, very cute specimen of a creature that is a potentially destructive invasive species. I hope that was photographed someplace near its native habitat, and it's not some idiot exotic pet owner who's risking environmental blight so they can subject an undomesticated animal to suburban living.

If any creature is domesticated, it's the snail. It's right on its back.
