I know the absurdity of the strip is that it's a rock doing exactly what a rock does...but the artist captured exactly the emotion of losing a pet, and the awfulness of walking out of the vet without your pet and his or her belongings. *sniffle*

Yeah, it might be more funny if you've never euthanized a pet. Or, as Supergee wrote, if you've owned particularly brainless rabbits, although I'm sure I'd be capable of becoming attached to them as well.

I've euthanised pets, and this made me laugh.

My sense of humor is pretty dark too but I have a very mushy spot where animals are concerned. Now, humor involving babies...I'm fine with that.
