I can see the middle circle fine and seperate from the rest. However, if I focus on any part of the image apart from the centre circle I feel light-headed and nauseous!
The joy of brain hacks. I like subjecting the people who claim that nothing as complex and perfect as human eyesight could have been created by evolution. Our visual systems frankly cut corners all over the damned place, even if they are good enough for most day to day use.
The ironic thing is, he only needed to stab out one eye.
Seriously - look at all the above with one eye covered, and they look much more normal and less mobile. (Doesn't work so well for the one first on this page though.)
Er ... if I use only my stronger eye, the speed and magnitude of the apparent decreases a little but is still pretty distracting. I have to cover my good eye and only look through my weaker eye to get the discs to stop moving, and even then the almonds keep moving into and out of the screen (though yeah, they do at least stop 'flowing' then.
No, not really. What we've got here is four perfectly round sawtooth-thingies. I'll accept that the centers of the squares lie on four perfectly round circles, though. (Or at least, 'perfectly round' to within the tolerance of whatever medium the image was created in.)
