I can't help it -- I know what manner of grunting beast that is, but I still cringe seeing computer gear misused. A strange reflex, that. Possibly related to being the one who gets to fix this shit...
I wouldn't recommend it for the tomatoes because it confuses the touch sensor. It should work fine with the onion and peppers though. Probably not good for the edge on the knife though.
