Ah, sorry. My bad, I didn't even think about that being today. And for whatever reason, I hadn't associated that with poppies, although from looking around, that seems to be the case in the U.S. as well? Huh.

I guess around here they just tend to run to the more blatant things like flags, and the occasional yellow ribbon.

Poppies are a Commonwealth thing in general, but are specifically *very* big in Canada.

I don't tend to associate poppies with today, though. Or rather one single poppy...I guess I'm weird that way. Rosemary on the other hand...

Which reminds me that I need to go cut some and then visit my grandfather. Or well, you know, graves and all that.
