but ... but ... I kinda like radio. There's a human chatting to you in between the records. At least sometimes.

"It's this thing your car can play when your mp3 player is broken." Lol!

If my mp3 player is broken I generally listen to BBC Radio 4 because then I can hear people talk about something interesting instead of just being forced to listen to horrible pop music all through my journey.

People on ordinary commercial radio stations do not have anything interesting to say.

Depends on the station, and what your interests are. I'll never forget listening to the Eighties at Eight show and hearing the DJ swerve off into a hilarious five-minute rant on the appropriate use of apostrophes before playing Every Rose Has It's Thorn.

Ah, important disclaimer then. I admit that there are exceptions to the rule. But generally speaking...

You see, the thing about Radio Four is that it has news programmes with interviews and the like, documentaries, investigative journalism, and dedicated comedy programmes with high quality comedians.

It just doesn't really have music. Which, considering most radio stations aren't playing anything I want to hear, is not really much of a problem for me.

Sadly it also has a gardening programme and The Archers, but what are you going to do?

Reminds me of a couple people who went to a virulently anti-porn church and were using an ad-hoc wifi connection to send each other porn on their laptops... through the church.

Same idea, actual people. And they specifically avoided using cell networks so it wouldn't skip through a tower.
