Actually, I rather like the concept - one thing that I've been thinking about a lot is "what happens to all of my online friends once I die?" Nowadays, most of us have multiple existences online - be they Twitter, Facebook, LJ/blog, etc. An application that could send a final "I have passed on" message to those networks is beneficial, I think. I'd love to see a single app where you could add in all of your accounts and then have one message that gets pushed out to all of them. I also like the "three people need to confirm you are deceased" as that helps prevent some asshat from doing it as a joke.
