I was exaggerating a bit for humorous effect. However, the shape and coloration of the creature in the first few frames did scream "poisonous snake" at me, and while I have no problem with garter snakes and other non-venomous creatures, I would want no part of that shit.
You can see in the second photo that it has eyelids. Sweepy widdle eyelids. Snakes don't have eyelids.
However, in general, I will agree that getting close enough to peer at a brightly-colored reptilian head to see if it has eyelids is potentially a career-limiting idea.
