We already knew this government was fond of unreliable information, given their attempts to gimp the census and their drive to combat imaginary crime by building more prisons. This is just more proof.

-- Steve definitely wants this directive recinded. It's bad politics, it's bad policy, and it'd bad intelligence to boot.

My wife mentioned this to me this morning, and I assumed it was just some old rule that had never been updated, leftover from the days when our allies didn't really torture people anyway. You know, before the Americans decided that waterboarding was just a really stern way of asking a question; like raising your voice, but with simulated drowning.

But no, now I learn it is yet again the work of our Conservative government, slowly eroding our morals one virtue at a time.

Next election cannot come fast enough.
