Swings in this direction aren't annoying. It's the swing back that sap the will to live. When my body has lost all of its cold-weather tolerance in the course of a day and suddenly -5 feels like the North Pole.
I think cold-weather tolerance is like the night vision curve: it takes awhile for it to kick in, but one sudden flash will set you back to 0.
From the sublime to the gorblimey - tomorrow in Perth, West Aust it will be 38 C. Saturday will be 39 C. It's supposed to be fackin' autumn, dagnabbit!
