We REALLY need to kick FARK to give Arizona its own category.

Also: don't these fools know what might happen when you break time-space continuum and causality like this?

Have I told you all the stupid shit they do?

Let's see there was the gas crisis where the news agencies filmed people lining up their cars to get gas - with their engines running. They interviewed one girl that said she had to refill twice on the way home that day.

Then in an effort (Arpaio) to bring awareness to the trash, they collected all these tires and stacked them on the side of the road over 10 feet high. Which is unstable when you take into account these were on the side of the road - as in the freeway - with no anchoring of any sort.

I was sent home from work one day because it rained twice. They don't use gutters on their buildings - anywhere. So it pooled, soaked in to the roof and fried the servers.

Then there was the toilet paper incident ....
Some djs pranked the entire city. Based on the real story that a factory used to manufacture toilet paper in California had to be shut down to remove a mold infesting the plant - they souped it up by saying it created toilet paper for all the big brands like Charmin and Angel Soft - and was the sole provider for toilet paper for "the valley" and thus triggered a buying spree normally seen when there's a blizzard coming to Texas.

And last but not least:
The Valley - the name used to describe Phoenix. A flat plain between a few hills. Not mountains, hills. We're talking 30 stories TOPS - 16 stories average.

Monsoon Season - the time of year where they get 15 minutes of impressive rain. Possibly twice a week.

Also when they had the speed limit cameras on the highways, they didn't fix the law to make any speed violations caught by the cameras legal. So if you got a violation in the mail, and did not pay it, there were absolutely no legal repercussions for not paying it. Every person who paid the fines did not have to do so.

Stale and inaccurate. Gestational age is normally calculated from the date of the last period: that part is nothing new. This is a bad law because it bans abortion, not because of how it calculates dates.

Dear people on my side: please avoid trying to score points off the other side in ways that make us all look stupid. Kthx.

And if you have irregular periods? You could easily fall after the 20 week deadline for an abortion because you wouldn't know you were pregnant until well after the end of your last period.

This is a law about medicine and it's completely reasonable for legislators to defer to medical convention on gestational age. If doctors are counting wrong, argue with doctors.

My problem with the law is that it's banning abortion. An additional problem with the law (if banning some abortions is cool with you) is that it's banning abortion based on a semi-arbitrary cutoff. What's dumb is letting both of those pass and complaining that the cutoff is counted the way doctors normally count it.
