Either he has no idea of what the word "depravity" actually means, or he's admitting that he's too vile and corrupting to be around children.

Actually, what he's revealing is much simpler: He's gay, and closeted.

He thinks *everyone* has the same "depraved" urges towards homosexuality that he does. Which is why he thinks homosexuality is a temptation (he's tempted) and a choice (he's in denial).
