I never saw her as Mrs. Landingham, but she was great as Mrs. McKluskey on Desperate Housewives -- where, incidentally, her final personal storyline (spanning the last 8 eps or so before the series finale) was battling cancer...
We're rewatching all of West Wing (by coincidence) and I remember the Mrs Landingham episode slayed me first time around. It's not going to get any easier this time around.
Also remember her in an episode of Scrubs, telling JD to go out and live his life. Good advice.
Several episodes of Scrubs, in fact. She was so popular and so perfect that they brought her back repeatedly to smack JD from the safe confines of his imagination.
That episode was so good that I get a little somber and reflective whenever "Brothers in Arms" plays. Amazing writing on that show serving amazing talent.
