I hope someone was able to get close enough to get the can off its head after they were done taking the photo. Poor thing didn't deserve to starve.

The problem with having its head stuck in a can is that it's a little hard to identify the species and make a good guess about how it's going to react to having the can removed. I'm fond of snakes, but I'm not sure I'd go up to this one and try to wrangle it myself.
