Alas, gasoline (which I assume this is) is generally a poor substance for teaching object lessons unless you spill it on yourself. Without the ideal air/gas ratio you can put cigarettes out in it.
Now if we were talking propane, or even better hydrogen gas, then we'd be in spitting distance of a Darwin award.
